King’s e-Portfolio is a brand new online system for students in the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences of King’s College London to track their clinical practice experience and internships. Students provide information that is reviewed by peers and course teachers. I created a training video and written instructions to help students use the system.

King’s Raising Concerns (Online Course)
Policy training materials
King’s Raising Concerns is a series of four online courses for students in the Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences of King’s College London, designed for undergradutes’ induction purpose. The resource was requested by the student experience team of the Faculty, with the learning outcome that students understand the procedures of reporting various concerns to the Faculty. The four topics are around aspects where they most likely encounter concerns or questions, namely about a peer, a tutor’s inappropriate behaviours, patient safety, and patient behaviours. Each course consists of illustrated colorful cartoons which describe the imagined scecnarios accompanied by audio narrations, a flow chart which clearly shows the reporting route and timeline, and multiple FAQ questions collected from current students who are among the reviewers of this course. I produced this course with Articulate Storyline, worked with different stakeholders and adhered to the project deadline when manageing this project.

In 2020, King’s Faculty of Dentistry, Oral & Craniofacial Sciences introduced advanced ‘phantom-head’ dental simulators and virtual haptic machines simulate physical touch, integrating clinical digital learning. They help continue providing the best education and training in the field of dentistry when the pandemic hit.
This new curriculum has won the Technological or Digital Innovation of the Year trophy at the seventeenth annual Times Higher Education (THE) Awards.
To supplement in-person teaching and help students getting familiar with the machines’ operation, I filmed and created an introduction video and three user guides on three topics, namly ‘Setting up the Simulator’, ‘Operating the Haptic Simulation Application’, and ‘Troubleshooting the Haptic Simulator’ using Articulate Rise. They are used by more than 200 undergraduate students. Interactive elements are used, for example, using image hotspots indicating different parts of the machine.

UCL's Deaf Awareness and Inclusion Training Courses
Professional development training materials
I was the online learning designer of UCL’s seven short courses on Deaf Awareness training (which won a UCL Short Course Award in 2019) and one short course on Inclusion of Disabled and Neurodivergent People. The audience are professionals (e.g. audiologists, doctors, teachers, healthcare professionals etc.) and the courses are hosted on Moodle (LSM).
I made sure the courses are as engaging as possible. I closely worked with a SME to align the learning outcomes, designed and developed the course content and multimedia from the beginning to end. Using adult learning theories such as behaviourism and multi-mode learning, I created images, charts, formative learning games using H5P and summative quizzes using Moodle’s built in quiz function. In addition I made sure the courses meet the top requirements of UCL’s digital accessibility policy. The courses have passed rounds of meticulous review processes by review panels before they were officially released. Depending on the audience, most courses are accredited by their respective professional training bodies.
